ENGINE

ENGINE

ENGINE ASSEMBLY

ENGINE

ENGINE LUBRICATION

When oil changes are extended beyond recommended intervals, engine sludge can form. (Sludge obstructs oil passages and restricts oil flow, leading to premature engine damage.)

The engine oil and Genuine Mitsubishi filter are the key ingredients to engine performance and longevity.
Regular oil and filter changes prevent excessive engine wear; keep the engine cool; and ensure long term reliability.

*The repair of damages caused by the parts or services not prescribed by the Warranty and Maintenance Manual (such as using non-genuine parts or excessive oil change intervals), is not covered under warranty.

ENGINE

Air Cleaner Element

An air cleaner is vital to engine performance. As outside air travels through the intake on its way to the engine, it passes through the air cleaner element.
Dirt and debris, harmful to an engine, are trapped in the air cleaner element.

Overtime, as more material is trapped, the air flow rate decreases, restricting the air that the engine needs. If the air cleaner element is not replaced, engine power, acceleration, and fuel economy are reduced.

Using a non-genuine element may cause fatal Trouble inside Engine.

ENGINE

TIMING BELT

The engine’s timing belt Drives the camshaft (s) (“top end”) from the rotation of the crankshaft (“bottom end”).
The belt keeps the piston and valves in “time” during operation. Serious internal engine damage can occur when the piston and valves come into contact with each other “out-of-time” caused by damaged belt etc.
In the worst case, the engine assembly need to be replaced.

ENGINE

TIMING BELT

Failure to replace the timing belt at the recommended interval may lead to belt fatigue and breakage, which can result in costly engine repairs.

ENGINE

DRIVE BELT

The drive belt (including fan belt, power steering belt, A/C belt) is one of consumable part and it is very important to operate for engine accessory components such as alternator, power steering, Air Conditioner, Engine cooling system and etc.

In the worst case of damage or cut drive belt,

As the symptom of deterioration of the drive belt, you may hear squeaking sound from the engine. The drive belt (s) should be inspected before serious damage could occur.

ENGINE

ENGINE COOLING SYSTEM

Excessive heat is detrimental to the engine. The key components of the cooling system (radiator, water pump, thermostat and hoses) transfer heat away from the engine through the circulation of coolant. This maintains the normal operating temperature of the engine.

ENGINE

SUPER LONG LIFE COOLANT

MITSUBISHI SUPER LONG LIFE COOLANT shows an excellent performance required

– Lasts long after a full replacement.
Minimum Replacement Interval – 4 Years or 60,000km
– Prevents metal corrosion of the cooling system for a long period of time.
– Prevention of overheating
– Antifreeze
– Usable in all vehicles manufactured by MITSUBISHI MOTORS, regardless of

To avoid any trouble in conventional method with poor dilution water, Pre-mixed SLLC is
specified for your vehicle.

ENGINE

SPARK PLUGS

Spark plugs carry a high voltage into the engine’s combustion chamber and convert it into a spark, igniting the air/fuel mixture. This generates the power that keeps the engine running. Even at idle, each spark plug fires 375 times per minute.

Over time, the spark plug’s tip (electrode) wears out.

The outer shell (insulation) may even crack or separate allowing the voltage to exit the plug where it is not intended. Misfire results, which causes the engine to run rough and lowers gas mileage.

ENGINE

FUEL CLEANER

Genuine Parts provide confidence
The Mitsubishi Genuine FUEL SYSTEM CLEANER are designed to be the best fit for Mitsubishi vehicles.

DRIVELINE

DRIVELINE

CLUTCH SYSTEM (MANUAL TRANSMISSION)

Clutches are designed to slip when engaged so the vehicle doesn’t jerk or lurch forward when starting out. Once the clutch pedal is fully released, the clutch should hold firm and not chatter, slip, or catch, and provide a solid coupling between the engine and transmission. If it doesn’t, something is wrong and needs to be investigated.

DRIVELINE

CLUTCH DISC (MANUAL TRANSMISSION)

Slipping or chatter are most noticeable when the engine is under load, as when the vehicle is lugging at low speed in a high gear, when driving up a hill, when accelerating to pass another vehicle, or when towing a trailer.

Slippage increases friction and produces heat which leads to hot spots on the pressure plate. The hotter the clutch gets, the less able it is to maintain its grip, and the more it slips. The vicious cycle that results can burn the clutch facings and damage the flywheel and pressure plate.

DRIVELINE

TRANSMISSION

Due to the good performance of Transmission operation, lubrication of transmission is most important maintenance items.
This is shown lubrication for two types of transmissions.

The repair of damages that are caused because parts or services used were not prescribed by the Warranty and Maintenance Manual, is not covered under warranty.

Manual Transmission Fluid (MTF)

For smooth gear rotation and change, a sufficient quantity of Manual Transmission Fluid is necessary.
If the same transmission Fluid is used longer than recommended,

In the worst case, the symptom might be occurred.
– Gear Shifting Noise
– Damage or Break Gear inside

Due to avoid any trouble for good car life, MTF replacement of Mitsubishi Genuine Fluid is recommended with periodical maintenance schedule

DRIVELINE

DIFFERENTIAL

The Differential gear is designed smooth turning right or left of your vehicle with effectiveness engine power distribution to tires.

Due to gear operation, axle fluid (Differential Gear Oil) is required to replace periodically to avoid any trouble such as abnormal wear of gear, bearing breakage, axle lock-up and etc.

DRIVELINE

DRIVESHAFT BOOTS

Role of drive shaft CV joint & boot (CV Joint : Constant Velocity Joint)
-The CV Joint transmits the power of the engine to the wheels. Bearings are used in the CV Joint as it transmits rotation absorbing adjusting vibration while driving, or movement by steering the wheels.
-Drive shaft boots are an important part that protect the joint part of the axle (CV Joint) from dirt, water and contaminants.

Time for Replacement of Driveshaft boots
-Boots should be replaced before torn. Otherwise expensive repair such as replacement of driveshaft may be needed.

DRIVELINE

TRANSMISSION

Automatic Transmission Fluid (ATF)
ATF is required to perform two roles.
– Lubricant oil (lubrication, cooling and cleaning)
– Hydraulic oil (power transmission)

If the same transmission Fluid is used longer than recommended, In the worst case, the symptom might be occurred.
– Harder Automatic Shifting Shock
– Deteriorate Fuel Consumption
– Damage or Break Gear inside

Due to avoid any trouble for good car life, MTF replacement of Mitsubishi Genuine Fluid is recommended with periodical maintenance schedule.

DRIVELINE

VSP DRIVE SHAFT SPLIT BOOTS

Advantage of VSP Drive Shaft Split Boot
-Quick replacement:
As no unit disassembly is required, replacement only takes 30 minutes.
– Lower costs for the customer
By preventive maintenance:
The ability to replace boots quickly means labor charge can be considerably reduced. And expensive repair such as replacement of driveshaft can be prevented.

TIRES

TIRES

TIRES

Importance of Tire function
Tire is very important for vehicle performance in the list below.
– Sustain the vehicle weight (Loading performance)
– Transmit driving & braking force (Traction & Braking performance
– Control driving direction of straight & turning (Stability performance)
– Absorb driving vibration from the road (Comfort ability performance)

Tire Inflation
All tires build up heat in motion. Air pressure may increase proximately 15% from a cold to a hot tire.
Always check and adjust air pressure when a tire is cold to obtain accurate readings.

TIRES

TIRES

TIRES

TIRES

Tire Rotation
In order to help even out different wear and maximize tire life, proper tire rotation is needed.

Wheel Balance
Wight of each position of tires is not even, so that wheel should be balanced.
An unbalanced wheel makes bald spot on the tread.
An unbalanced wheel also causes driving shakiness.

ALIGNMENT

ALIGNMENT

WHEEL ALIGNMENT

Wheel alignment consists of adjusting the angles of the wheels so that they are set to the car maker’s specification.

The purpose of these adjustments is maximum tread life and driving stability along a straight and level road, crowned roads, as well as correct racking when driving on turns. Camber, Caster, Toe-in etc.

ALIGNMENT

BRAKE

BRAKE SYSTEM

BRAKE

BRAKE FLUID

Brake fluid is very important to ensure stopping or slowing down your vehicle.

Brake fluid is the oil to transmit the hydraulic pressure produced by driver and boosted by a brake booster to each brake caliper or brake drum.

Brake fluid easily absorbs the moisture which lower the boiling temperature of the brake fluid.

Deteriorated brake fluid may not transmit the hydraulic pressure to each wheel.

Moisture absorbed in brake fluid also cause rust inside the brake system and rust makes cylinder and piston stuck.

So that periodical replacement is recommended.

When this lamp is illuminated,
– Brake fluid level is too low
– Parking brake is still working
– ABS Failure
are possible. At Mitsubishi dealer, check as soon as possible.

BRAKE

BRAKE SYSTEM

BRAKE

BRAKE PAD

When the brake pad thickness becomes 2mm or less, metal wear indicators will emit a squealing sound to warn the driver to replace the brake pads.

If you drive your vehicle with worn brake pads and brake rotors

– By metal-to-metal contact, Costly repair

– The brake system can not stop or slow down your vehicle properly and it will cause a serious accident.

MISCELLANEOUS

MISCELLANEOUS

BATTERY

For total battery performance check, Battery tester is available at Mitsubishi dealers and it can be checked battery performance level with proper figure.

Check the electrolyte level
– Electrolyte is most important for Battery performance and it shall maintain enough between Max & Min line.
– If electrolyte level is lower than Min. line, it should be refilled distilled water. In case of equipped indicator on the battery, it need to check the battery condition with procedure of battery maker.

MISCELLANEOUS

WIPER BLADE RUBBER

The rubber is one of consumable part for good driving view. It needs to be replaced, if wiping condition on the front windscreen is not clear because of worn out, deterioration.

The rubber is damaged by foreign material, Strong sunshine, worn out of using and etc.

Before changing season such as Rain, Dry, Summer, Winter and etc, it is good opportunity to check rubber condition at Mitsubishi Authorized Dealer.

Genuine rubber is best fit for your Mitsubishi vehicle. If your wiper is jumping or fluctuation on the windscreen, wiper frame is also good timing to check the condition.

MISCELLANEOUS

AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM

A air purifier filter is recommended to be replaced periodically.
Similar in function to an engine air cleaner element, the cabin air filter helps capture circulating dust and unwanted air particles before they enter the passenger compartment.
These particles can affect the comfort and health of the driver and passengers alike.
Keep the air inside your vehicle fresh by replacing the filter as recommended.

MISCELLANEOUS

EVAPORATOR CLEANER

On the evaporator surface condensation occurs and a thin film of moisture is formed. Gradually dust and other particles in the air builds up on this film, causing poor circulation efficiency, bad smells, and the cooling effectiveness of the air-conditioner to worsen.
MITSUBISHI Genuine Evaporator Cleaner removes the cause of unpleasant and maintains a comfortable car environment for a long time.
